The Beginning

In 1999, Pablo and Dana meet each other and begin a phase of creation and investigation, making use of a large vocabulary of the classic tango repertoire, studying the movements which incorporate the naturalness of the body in its execution. Finally they unify all these sensations creating their technique and system for appropiate teaching T.T.C. (CONCEPTUAL TANGO TECHNIQUE)
In 2001 they begin to train and instruct students, taking T.T.C. as structural base and use this technique parallely for their choreografical work for several shows, testing its application pedagogically and artistically. In 2003 the very intense work of those previous two years made their first test in founding an artistic staff of teachers possible and with this the wish to open up their own studio for Tango. But this ambitious project had to wait and pass through multiple stages. The emphasis was put on international festivals and workshops (Italy, Germany, Japan, Russia, Canada, England, Sweden, France, Turkey, Greece, Denmark, Spain, Portugal, Corea and China), where Pablo and Dana kept putting the system into practice in communities all over the world. In fall 2005 DNI finally opens its doors in Argentina and from there to the whole world. A studio just like they had dreamed of. Studio of the Dreams This studio had to be very special, a place which accomodates all these dreams that year after year had become more and which in the right moment and with all naturalness saw the light of day.But to find it was not easy. Its search took one year during which they had illusions and frustrations. But they told themselves it will work out somehow, and so it was some day: when Dario Glassman (constructor) after so many others suggested Pablo and Dana to get to know an old house on the street Corrientes. This meeting must have been magical and I am glad to say that with this first "blind date" they already knew and imagined how DNI would be; which activity would be tought in each room, the moments they would share in the patio, the infinite thoughts in the corridors and the need to share and dedicate oneself to this embrace of Tango.
Our History:
DNI Staff - How did they meet?In order to make this group work it was necessary to gather persons who want to work on and defend a communal project.

What has to be emphasized is, that in order to make this idea of a group concrete the trust of its members in Pablo and Dana - who proposed a tangible objective with profound values - was necessary. Some of its members know each other for more than ten years. Pablo, Gonzalo y Héctor organized Milongas in Santa Fe y Paraná, their native towns. As children, Silvina and Eugenia have been taking classes of balley together, also in Santa Fe. In 2000 Gonzalo, Mariel, Héctor and Silvina started to take classes with Pablo and Dana. Later Eugenia and Sebastián.Carolina and Christian took classes with Pablo and Dana seperately in different places. Unlike the other three couples, Carolina and Christian met in DNI. Gonzalo, Mariel and Stella were the first called up by Pablo and Dana for the project, later followed by Johanna, Héctor, Silvina, Sebastián, Eugenia and Carolina.Christian joined the staff one year later. In this moment we are completed by Pedro, Gisela, Kyoko and Ezequiel who are artists and teachers in training, students of the group DNI.
